I improvised this crochet pendant the other day. As a base I used a coppar wire from a piece of an electric cord an electrician gave me. I crochet around the wire, did some embroidery and used a beautiful vintage flowerbutton from my button-collection.
I like this little flowery-thing, but I'm having trouble finding the right chain for it... maby I should use a leather cord???
Do you have any ideas?
It's gorgeous!! You are so creative, Kristin.
ReplyDeleteHope you find a chain for it, I think you are right that a leather cord could go well to it :)
Thank you so much dear Hilde :-)
DeleteThat is so pretty! I A friend gave me a pendant, and I haven't wore it yet, because, it doesn't have a chain or cord, and nothing seems to go well with it, but just now, as I was reading your post, I suddenly looked at my computer old mouse's cord, and I thought, that it will go well with my pendant.
ReplyDeleteLook around your house to see what you can find. Maybe you could crochet or make a cord, with embroidery thread or yarn.
Good Luck

Thank you so much for your kind words and inspiration Meximissus! A crochet-cord really is a wonderful idea!! Maby using the same thread I used for the pendent?
DeleteI love it... so pretty! I think a leather cord, or even a natural colour of linen or jute would compliment it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like it Linda :-) I´m thinking of making a cord myself- I might crochet one using some interesting material like linen or the same thread I used for the pendant.
